Aisling Dwyer

Aisling Dwyer was Vice-Auditor of the UCC Philosophical Society in the 150th session. She won the Munster Schools' Debating Competition in the 148th Session for Scoil Mhuire. She also represented Ireland at the World Schools' Debating Championships in 1998 in Israel.
Entering UCC as a scholarship student, Aisling went on to become a straight first-class honours, award-winning undergraduate. She finished 255th on the tab at Glasgow Worlds 2001 and 219th at Toronto Worlds. She convened the Cork IV in 1999.She was a semi-finalist in The Irish Times Debating Competition, and the Irish Mace Competition.
Having completed her law degree, becoming UCC graduate of the year 2001 in the process, she went on to study at the London School of Economics having secured the prestigious Chevening Scholarship from the British Council and debated representing ULU. She is currently a qualified barrister, working for Tanfield Chambers.
