Art Ward

Art Ward is a fourth year BCL Clinical student at University College Cork who spent the previous year working in the Intellectual Property Group in Matheson Ormsby Prentice Solicitors in Dublin.
Art returned to Cork to both complete his degree, and convene the World Universities' Debating Championships, in June of 2008.

Art is the Convenor of the 29th World Universities' Debating Championships (Cork Worlds 2009), to be held in University College Cork over the New Year's period of 2008/09.
Art was Editor-in-Chief of the UCC Law Society Cork Online Law Review for the 77th Session (http://colr.ucc.ie/). He received a Society Achievement Award in 2007.
He is the Irish Politics Correspondent for Motley magazine (http://www.motley.ie/), the monthly publication of the University's Journalism Society.
He played for the UCC Law Society in both the 4th and the 5th Annual Philosoph Lawsoc Grudge Matches.
He has previously worked for Qatar Debate[1], coaching debating to primary, secondary and University students as well as coaching adjudication to University faculty members in the Middle-East.
